Daniel 11:32; Ephesians 2;10; Luke 9:43-48; Proverbs 25:2 Galatians 2:20; Jeremiah 29:12; 1Peter 2:9; Isaiah 61:1
*Unleashing*: To release from a leash or captivity, release, untie, unloose,to be set free.
Allow me to begin with a question; How much of the greatness in you is in use?
According to the definitions , the assumption is that there is some greatness that is held back, covered or wrapped. Greatness that is locked in. I believe it’s time to discover that which is locked in us and set it free.
God created everyone with special deposits within .He has made great spiritual investments and deposits in us.We are each heavily and graciously gifted by grace. We are not all gifted the same way but are differently gifted according to God’s plans and purposes for us.
God tells us in Ephesians that He has already arranged our paths to greatness. He has gone before us and prearranged this great life that He wants us to learn and walk in.
In the same book the word says; “
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, *who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places*.
Now Proverbs 25:2 says; It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the honor of kings is to search things out.
Cultivating and adopting the king’s attitude or mentality is one thing we should desire. An inquisitive attitude that helps to search the hidden and concealed things.
Matthew 13:44 likens, the kingdom of heaven to treasure hidden in a field. For one to get hold and enjoy the treasure , there is need of some digging to be done.
Our lives are fields specially cultivated by God with awesome deposits of invaluable and priceless treasures. Like the proverb says, it is God’s responsibility to make the deposit, but it is our responsibility to unravel or discover it.
Earnest prayers and study of the word are effective ways of discovering the greatness in us. Jeremiah 33: 3 talks about calling on God, and He responds by showing us great and mighty things we do not know of. His word illuminates the dark and grey areas of life.
Association is a power and a force that moulds character, aligns or destroys destinies and defines a man’s future.
Who do you associate with?
Who do you walk with?
Who do you spend time with?
Do those you spend time with add value to you?
Proverbs 13:20 says; Whoever walks with the wise becomes wise but the companion of fools will suffer harm.
Many are yet to discover their greatness but the process is delayed by the people that surround them. Look around and decide well. It’s time for the greatness in you to be unleashed.
In the Bible, the are countless examples of people who associated with destiny enablers and they flourished. The Samaritan Woman and Jesus, Esther and Modechai, Saul and Banabas just to mention a few.
Personal development is a requirement in unleashing the greatness in us.
Isaiah 54:2 says Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. Stop Learning stop leading, nothing can take the place of knowledge. No man can ever rise beyond the level of his knowledge.
What you know is who you are.
Show me a man that is truly great and I will show you a man that keeps learning.Knowledge is what demarcates the successful and the unsuccessful . Learn; learn and keep learning.
Another truth that unleashes greatness in us is humility. The way up is the way down. We will never be great until we are satisfied by being small. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and to give his life as a ransom for many. Let the attitude that was in Christ be in us also. In John 13:3ff we see Jesus washing his disciples feet. His knowledge of who he was made him stoop low to serve his disciples. Unleash the greatness in you by serving in humility.
The release of the greatness in us is also affected by how we handle the so called “small matters” in our lives. Have you been faithful in small matters. Luke 19:17 says; And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant! Because you have been faithful in little, you shall have authority over ten cities.’ Can we be given authority over ten cities whilst we cannot be faithful in the one or two that God has given us?
Luke 16:10 records the same; be faithful in one, so that the Lord releases the ten.Remember God uses little things to test your integrity.
Lastly I would like to say do not focus on the challenges in your life, they will obstruct you rather make them a bridge and a stepping stone to your greatness.
Arise and shine; shake off the dust and unleash the greatness in you.See you at the top !!
Stay Blessed
